My name is Jennifer Pinnick. I am 27 years old and live in Chandler, Arizona. I am a cancer survivor. I work as a registered nurse for the past 4 years. Things were going very well for me and my husband the past few years. I graduated from Nursing school, which took everything out of me, but I did it and remain proud of that. I worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in downtown Phoenix on the Med/Surg floor and worked the night shift from 7pm-7am. My husband and I had all the great things going for us. We were taking vacations, purchasing a home, and fixing up that home with our extra income. We had come back from the greatest vacation of our lives, Honduras. We tried scuba diving and we are hooked now. We ate, we laughed, we tried new experiences. Meeting locals and horse back riding on the beach on my birthday will forever be etched in my mind. After coming back from Honduras in September 2006, my husband and I kept working hard, saving for the new house. My husband graduated with his masters degree and had a steady job. All of our bills were actually paid ahead of schedule and had plenty of savings. Little did we know that 2007 was going to be the hardest year of my life. 07/07/07 was supposed to be a lucky day in a lucky year. It couldn’t of been further from the truth.
But there was something that was happening inside my stomach that I could not fix. What was happening to me?
